StreamCatch never records, archives, or saves downloaded audio or video files on its web server disks. Stream tokens are processed ephemerally in volatile memory with a 5-minute time-to-live (TTL).
1. Information We Do NOT Collect
We believe in privacy by design:
- We do not require user account registration, names, or passwords.
- We do not record your browsing history or associate resolved URLs with personal identities.
- We do not use advertising tracking cookies or third-party behavioral profiling trackers.
2. Technical Data Processed for Infrastructure Security
To defend our services against automated DDoS attacks, brute-force attempts, and SSRF exploits, our servers temporarily process client IP addresses. These IPs are hashed or evaluated in volatile memory sliding-windows for rate limiting purposes and automatically discarded after the active window expires (maximum 15 minutes).
3. Cookie Usage Disclosure
StreamCatch does not use marketing or advertising cookies. The only cookie utilized is an encrypted, HttpOnly session cookie reserved exclusively for authorized administrative operators on our protected internal systems.
4. Third-Party CDNs & Platform Gateways
When you initiate a stream transfer, data packets travel securely over HTTPS directly from authorized media platforms (such as Vimeo, Internet Archive, or Wikimedia). Those platforms may receive your public IP address in their standard web server access logs as a consequence of native HTTP communication.
5. Your Rights Under GDPR & CCPA
Under European and California privacy regulations, you have the right to request information about processed data, object to processing, or request erasure. Since we do not retain identifiable personal data or user accounts, there are no user profiles to export or delete.
